Гликопротеид, специфически связывающийся с антигеном, т.е. обладающий свойствами антитела; И. секретируются зрелыми лимфоидными клетками и содержатся в плазме, лимфе и на поверхности клеток; И. - тетрамер, состоящий из двух одинаковых тяжелых Н-цепей и двух одинаковых легких L-цепей с молекулярными массами соответственно около 50-70 и 25 кД, С-конец цепей И. постоянен, а N-конец вариабелен; известно по крайней мере 5 типов И., из которых основную роль в качестве антител взрослых организмов играет IgG (остальные типы - IgA, IgE, IgD, IgM).
